OOSAR APPLICATION

Training

New members must complete the Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) course within their first year, as it is essential for all operational technicians. Ongoing training is crucial for maintaining skills and reliability, enhancing teamwork and trust—critical elements in saving lives.

Expectations

Operational members attend at least 50% of training and calls. 
Training nights are Tuesdays from
7 -9 pm at the OOSAR hall in Oliver.  However, field training may occur anywhere in the Oliver/ Osoyoos area, and may be on some weekends.a
